Splick explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile app and api.splick.app services.
We do not sell your data or track you across other apps for advertising (no IDFA/ATT).
1 Information we collect
Account & profile
- Email and/or phone number
- Username, display name, avatar
- Date of birth (optional), preferred language
- Password (stored hashed — not readable by us)
User content
- Posts, comments, reactions, messages
- Photos, media, GIFs via Giphy
- Payment profile & bill-split evidence (if you add them)
Automatically collected
- Server logs (IP, timestamps) for security
- Crash diagnostics if enabled on your device
2 How we use information
- Provide and secure your account
- Operate social, messaging, expense, and notifications
- Send verification codes when you request them
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3 Third-party processors

4 Sharing
We share information only when you direct it (e.g. posts to friends), with contracted service providers, or when required by law.
5 Retention & deletion
We retain data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we anonymize your auth profile. Delete in the app:
Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account
6 Children's privacy
Splick is not directed at children under 13. Contact support@splick.app to request removal.
7 Security & your choices
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and industry-standard practices. You can update profile settings, manage linked accounts, or deny permissions (some features may not work).
